Pure Ice Private Show

Hey guys!! Today I have a NOTD for you.  I bought this polish at Walmart for relatively cheap and have to say I absolutely love it.  I am a fan of sparkly and glittery things so this polish was right up my alley.  It is called Private Show by Pure Ice.  It is a black polish with red, blue, and silver glitters in it.  It can be a bit gritty, but I used two coats of Seche Vite Top Coat on it and it smoothed right on out.  The pictures were taken with two coats of polish.

This picture was taken with flash to show how sparkly it is!!
I also wanted to show you guys what it looked like without flash.. These pictures came out a bit aweful (probably because my phone camera SUCKS).  It is soooo much prettier in real life!

Unfortunately my hands shook today as I was painting my nails, so I have a bit of polish on my cuticles.  It will come right off with a bit of time and polish.  I was a bit afraid to take acetone to my cuticles with shaky hands and ruining my manicure!

I hope you guys like this polish as much as I do.  I highly suggest to buy this polish!  I feel really bad about the polish on the cuticles in these pictures, I just wanted to make sure I got good pictures before they chipped.. I am really rough on my hands.

Breast Cancer Awarness

I recently decided to make a makeup look that had some signifigance to it!  Breast cancer runs in my family on both sides and is something I am very concerned about being a woman with larger than average breasts.  It is harder to spot lumps the bigger the breast is.  I creaated this look with a bit of a twist to it; I added purple!!  Here is the look I came up with.

I really like how the look turned out.  I was hoping for more of a cut crease look, and probably could have created a better cut, but I was in a hurry. :P  I think the purple helped to bring out the pink on the lid.  All of the colors I used came from the BH cosmetics Second Edition 120 palatte.

Up next is a look inspired by Madame Noire.  I will hopefully have that look up within the next few days.  Stay beautiful!!

Neutral Look for Work or Interviews

Hi guys!!  As promised, I have a natural look for you.  I recently wore this look when I went to a job interview (and I ACED it).  This look is also good for those who just want to look natural, yet have some smokiness to really bring out the eyes.

I used a shimmery, pale pink color on the lid from the Maybelline baked shadows in Sinful Sinnamon. In the crease I used the second and third browns from the Green With Envy palate from Hard Candy.  I used the darker brown on my lower lid as well.  I really liked the way this look defined my eyes in a natural way.  Usually I don't do natural looks because I love color and I love dramatic smokey eyes.

I have been thinking about buying some more expensive makeup products from places like Bitchslap! Cosmetics, Sugarpill Cosmetics, MAC, and many more, but I am not sure which colors I would like to get first!  If you happen to have any suggestions or favorites, please comment and let me know!  I would love to get a requested makeup look as well, something that will give me a little bit of inspiration.  I will see you guys soon in another blog!!  XoXo

As a little side note, my lip ring was removed for the interview and it is not generally a good idea for any facial peircings to be worn when applying for a job.

Nicole by OPI's A Phil's Paradise Review

I have a new polish to share with you guys that I am absolutely in love with.  I bought this polish a few months ago and tried it out for the first time the other day. I posted a new blog probably five minutes ago and totally forgot about this polish!!  How terrible is that?!

Anyway, this polish is from the Modern Family line of Nicole by OPI and is named A Phil's Paradise.

How amazingly beautiful is this color???  I love the fact that it is packed with fine microglitter in silver and gold shades.  The color shines like nothing I have seen before (given the fact it is a microglitter).  This photo was taken with two coats and a topcoat of Seche Vite over top.  It dries very quickly on it's own and is very shiny without the topcoat, but I add one because I am rough with my hands.

I tried to take a picture in the sun, however, I only have the camera on my phone to work with at the moment.  I will be getting a better camera eventually to make better photos with!  I highly suggest buying this polish!!

Update and New Look!!

Hello there my fellow beauty loves.  It has been a long time since I posted anything new!  I have been incredibly busy with school and my lovely 6-year-old daughter, and haven't had too much time to put into my blog.  Well, here I am!! I'm back in action!!!  I have been experimenting with makeup and different hairstyles over the past 6 months and have a few to share with you.  The first look I would like to share is one that I did a few months ago.  It's a gothic look using the Revlon Diamond Lust eye shadows in Neptune Star and Plum Galaxy.  I paired this look with a black lip to increase the Gothic appeal.

This picture was edited to further contrast the shadows.  The next photos were not edited, and shows the colors and sparkle better.

The flash on my phone is an LED flash and tends to make my face paler in comparisson to how it truly looks in real life.  However, the colors came out magnificently.  I used the Plum Galaxy on my lid and Neptune Star in the crease.  I did apply a basic highlight to help blend out the edges of the Neptune star.  On the lower lid I used a black eyeshadow to define the lower lid.

Over all I am EXTREMELY impressed with the Revlon Diamond Lust shadows.  They stayed very well for a long period of time without creasing terribly.  They had a great glitter pay off that helped to add shine to this look.

This next look I did was very interesting.  I used a Jessie's girl eyeshadow by the name of Troublemaker on the lid, then used a brown shadow in the crease for definition.  This shadow also stayed well all day without creasing.  Here is the look I came up with.

These pictures could have been better, however I didn't take them as I should have.  I wasn't thinking of my blog at the time and I do apologize for that.  I will be making better pictures of my makeup looks as I do them.

I have one last look I would like to share with you guys.  This one is one I wore yesterday to the Oktoberfest festival in Martinsville.

In this look I used L'oreal's Infallible Eye shadow in Perpetual Purple on the lid, a periwinkle purple in the crease (and a bit above the crease) and a black shadow in the outter v and deep crease to darken and define.  I also used a black shadow on the lower lid to help define my eyes.  Perpetual Purple is a color that I absolutely ADORE!!  It's very shimmery and has a hint of blue duochrome in it.

I hope you guys enjoyed these looks.  I will be posting another blog soon, possibly later tonight or tomorrow on a natural look perfect for a job interview.  I will see you soon!!! XoXo
